June 21 - Civic Parade

The Civic Parade began at about 10AM and finished the next day at 3AM. It consists of wave after wave of dancers, mostly in native costumes, with their respective bands trailing. The first three quarters of the parades seems to be made up government offices and lawyers´associations. After them, as the day turns into night, the more native groups or towns dance by.
We, by the way, did not sit through the entire parade. We came and went during the day and early evening, watching some of the parade from a restaurant, on the plaza above the parade.
